When you create a StormIt account, we collect your email address, name, and profile information you choose to provide. We also collect usage data such as pages visited, features used, and writing activity to improve the service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our services
• Process AI-powered writing assistance requests
• Send you service-related notifications
• Monitor usage and enforce rate limits
• Process payments through our payment provider (Stripe)

3. AI-Generated Content

Content you create using our AI writing tools is processed by third-party AI providers (OpenAI). Your input is sent to these providers to generate responses. We do not use your content to train AI models. Please review OpenAI's privacy policy for their data handling practices.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS). We implement row-level security, encryption at rest, and encrypted connections (TLS) for all data transfers. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase — database and authentication
• OpenAI — AI text and image generation
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Resend — transactional emails

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to maintain your authentication session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Export your content at any time

8. Data Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Some anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics purposes.
